Artistic Agency BAMA is very pleased to announce a new representation of Italian flautist Vincenzo Lai!


Born in Nuoro, Italy, Vincenzo Lai graduated in 2003 at “L. Canepa” Conservatory in Sassari. He continued his studies at Ecole Normale de Musique “A. Cortot” in Paris with Jean Ferrandis for the flute and Genevieve Martigny for the chamber music, graduating in Flute (Unanimity of the Jury) in 2008 and in Chamber Music in 2009. He then earned a Master's Degree at “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome (2012) and at California State University Fullerton (2014) before completing his studies with a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the University of Houston (2018).


Vincenzo Lai has performed throughout Europe (England, Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Luxembourg, Germany, Lithuania), the USA, and in the Middle East as a soloist and ensemble conductor in various recitals, orchestral performances, and chamber music groups. He has appeared in renowned halls such as la Maison de l’UNESCO, il Consolato Generale d’Italia, la Salle Cortot ed il Carrefour Pleyel in Paris, il Centro di Cultura Italiana in Athens, Meng Concert Hall in California, la Moores Opera House in Texas, the auditorium of the National Conservatory in Bethlehem, the Dubai Opera. He performed in important Festivals (Mai Musical de La Chapelle, Musique à la Prée, Festival International de Musique de Sarrebourg (France), Musica al Castello, Musica a Roma per Roma, VivaldiMozart, I Concerti delle Logge, Note nel Romanico, Animanera Mediterranea (Italy), Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival, CSUF Wind Festival (USA), Saarburger Konzertakademie (Germania), the Christmas Festival in Bethlehem. Vincenzo has always been praised for his musicianship, bright technique, and stage presence, qualities that also earned him several awards and prizes in national and international competitions.


He taught in important institutions in the USA (California State University, University of Houston), and in the Middle East (Edward Said National Conservatory), before moving back to Italy where he currently teaches at Conservatoire “G.P. Palestrina” in Cagliari, performs, and takes care of the artistic direction of the International Music Festival

“Tra Mare, Stelle e Magia”.

As an arranger he works in strict collaboration with the Ensemble Academia, an international chamber group affiliated with the Festival “Tra Mare, Stelle e Magia” for which he has arranged pieces for trio, woodwind quintet and larger wind/string groups up to nine players.
